Together tells the story of two boys who discover that they are badly regarded by the world around them, struggling with their sexual orientation and religion inherited from parents. The battle between ignorance and true feelings of love and hate in their environment made them stronger and closer together. This true story resulted to a book full of sorrow and shame, but also of humor. A story in which the current generation still deals with, maybe in a different culture and religion, but in many cases still considered a taboo. It is a support for homosexuals who need to know that they are not different and they belong in this society. Louise Koppijn (Indonesia, 1939) debuted in 2010 with a successful book. Her books are governed by the relentless desire to live fully, despite many setbacks and sorrows in life.
