    Deux enregistrements des Variations Goldberg joués par Glenn Gould sont réédités. J'avais déjà les deux enregistrements, mais j'ai quand même acheté ces CD. L'enregistrement de 1982 a été réenregistré en utilisant les dernières techniques, en utilisant les enregistrements analogiques originaux de 1982. Cela vous fera entendre Glenn Gould à son meilleur!

    Quiconque connaît les variations de Goldberg mais est nouveau pour Glenn Gould peut avoir besoin de s'habituer à écouter ses interprétations. Mais ceux qui écoutent attentivement seront récompensés par une clarté et une virtuosité jamais entendues auparavant dans les Variations Goldberg.

    En prime, il y a une interview avec Glenn Gould où Glenn montre un petit aperçu de sa réflexion et de ses idées sur les variations de Goldberg. Très agréable et intéressant à écouter. Surtout pour ceux qui essaient de jouer les Variations Goldberg eux-mêmes. Dans l'interview, le typique Glenn Gould émerge: un homme charmant et brillant qui, comme tant de génies, a des traits étranges.

    En bref: un excellent CD; un grand compositeur; un pianiste brillant!
