    Wat een schitterend uitgangspunt! Twee jongens, die leven als slaaf in het zuiden van de Verenigde staten, worden verliefd op elkaar... Maar dan wil de auteur teveel doen, teveel franjes, teveel frullen, teveel... alles.

    Jammer. Want hij kan echt ongelooflijk goed schrijven.
