Lars Mytting

De Noorse schrijver Lars Mytting (1968) is een van de meest succesvolle Scandinavische auteurs. Zijn filosofische mannenboek over houthakken, 'De man en het hout', verscheen in Noorwegen in 2011 en werd een internationale bestseller. In Nederland zijn er meer dan 55.000 exemplaren verkocht. Zijn roman 'De vlamberken' won in 2014 de Noorse Boekhandelsprijs, is vertaald in vijftien talen en in Nederland reeds acht keer herdrukt. In 2019 verscheen 'De Zusterklokken', deel 1 van zijn epische trilogie, een familiesaga tegen de achtergrond van geloof, bijgeloof en het oprukken van de moderniteit op het Noorse platteland. Deel 2, 'Het Zustertapijt' verscheen in 2022.
