    Geschreven bij The Crystal Cave

    Dit boek voelt niet echt aan als een typisch leesboek. Er is geen spanningsboog. Geen interessant conflict. Geen overkoepelend probleem of vraagstuk. Het voelt meer aan als een opeenvolging van gebeurtenissen.
    Oke, het is best leuk geschreven. (Soms wat langdradig.) Maar het is zeker geen boek dat je mee sleept. Wel is het gebaseerd op een hoop geschiedkundige gebeurtenissen van de Engelse geschiedenis (rond de 5e eeuw). Dus mocht je Engelse geschiedenis boeiend vinden, dan is dit een aanrader. Zo niet, dan zijn er genoeg andere boeken die je meer meeslepen.
