Dit boek verhaalt de geschiedenis vanuit het perspectief van Elisabeth Stuart en haar dochters; de niet zo fraaie rol van de Engelse koningen en de strijd tussen de katholieken en protestanten op het continent, inclusief de strjdlustige zweedse koning. Boeiend verteld.
