Terry Pratchetts Schijfwereld-reeks bevat totaal meer dan dertig delen. In 2008 werd hij in de adelstand verheven en in 2010 werd hem de Lifetime Achievement World Fantasy Award toegekend voor zijn onovertroffen bijdrage aan het genre. Op 12 maart 2015 overleed hij op 66-jarige leeftijd.
