Samenvatting

Jodorowsky est accompagné de Ladrönn au dessin, un prodige venu d'outre-Atlantique. Ladrönn nous montre le cadre des aventures de John Difool avec une précision jamais égalée, un luxe de détails et même un réalisme cinématographique. En créant la saga de L'Incal, Jodorowsky et Mœbius ont révolutionné la science-fiction, en introduisant un ton nouveau et des thèmes jamais abordés en bande dessinée. Avec Final Incal, Jodorowsky va encore plus loin : John Difool, doué d'un don d'ubiquité tel qu'il se démultiplie en quatre individus distinct et pourtant identiques, endosse le rôle de héros multiple, mouvant et volontiers contradictoire. Attention, Final Incal T1 est basé sur le même scénario que Après L'Incal T1,dessiné par Moebius, et les tomes 2 et 3 sont identiques pour les séries Final Incal et Après L'Incal. Dernier cycle des aventures de John Difool, Après l'Incal faillit rester inachevé quand Moebius arrêta la série. Lorsque Jodorowsky découvre le talent de José Ladrönn, il réécrit pour lui le scénario d'Après L'Incal, qui donnera alors Final Incal. Deux variantes coexistent donc : Après l'Incal, par Mœbius, et Final Incal, par Ladrönn. Une version spéciale de Final Incal 2 est parue sous le titre Après l'Incal T2; elle s'enchaine parfaitement avec Après l'Incal T1. Le lecteur a donc le choix entre deux versions : Après L'Incal (tome 1 par Moebius, tomes 2 et 3 par Ladrönn) et Final Incal (3 tomes par Ladrönn).
