Douglas Adams (1952-2001) creëerde alle elkaar tegensprekende verschijningsvormen van Het Transgalactisch Liftershandboek: radiohoorspelen, boeken, een televisieserie, een computerspel, toneelbewerkingen, een strip en een badhanddoek. In 2005 kwam zelfs een verfilming in de bioscopen. Hij werd geboren in Cambridge (Engeland) en woonde met zijn vrouw en dochter in Santa Barbara, Californië, waar hij op 11 mei 2001 onverwacht overleed.

Douglas Adams (1952-2001)

Born in Cambridge, Douglas Adams is best known for the 1970s BBC Radio series (and later novel, TV series and feature film) The Hitchhikers's Guide to the Galaxy. He also wrote three Doctor Who serials.
