Dave Eggers is de auteur van onder meer Een hartverscheurend verhaal van duizelingwekkende genialiteit (finalist Pulitzer Prize), Zeitoun en Wat is de Wat (finalist National Book Critics Circle Award en winnaar Prix Médicis). Hij is tevens de drijvende kracht achter McSweeney’s en 826 Valencia, en won in 2008 de Ted Prize.
