Fredrik Backman (1982) is in Zweden een bekende blogger en columnist. Een man die Ove heet was zijn debuutroman. Alleen in Zweden werden er al 500 000 exemplaren verkocht. Het boek verscheen wereldwijd. De verfilming uit 2016 werd voor twee Oscars genomineerd, en Tom Hanks werkt momenteel aan een Amerikaanse remake.
