Aubrey Daniels laat zien hoe je mensen maximaal laat presteren via positive reinforcement. Management is nog nooit zo wetenschappelijk onderbouwd praktisch toepasbaar gemaakt. De experimentele gedragsanalyse (Pavlov, Skinner) toegepast op organisaties. Deze wetenschap laat zien dat consequenties gedrag bepalen ipv antecedenten. Dat we te vaak negatieve consequenties (dwang, straf en uitdoving) gebruiken ipv beloning. Dit gekoppeld aan meetbare prestaties en je snapt hoe gedrag ontstaat en verdwijnt en je hebt een instrument in handen om, inderdaad, het beste uit mensen te halen. Gedrag is de bouwsteen van iedere manager en consultant en de beste weet hier het meeste van af. Je investering in dit boek betaalt zich dubbel en dwars terug.
