LS! Echt genoten van een dikke intelligente Penguin. Het was ook alleszins verhelderend over de bankencrisis. De eerste helft van het boek beschrijft de ontstaansgeschiedenis van Goldman Sachs; verhalen over legendarische figuren. De tweede helft beschrijft de huidige tijd. De auteur die journalist en "investment banker" is, is een begenadigd schrijver. Van IOU's en IPO's tot CDS's en CMM's alles wordt in begrijpelijke taal uitgelegd, zodat me nu duidelijk is wat banken eigenlijk doen. Maar dat sommige bankiers 75 miljoen dollars per jaar verdienen blijft moeilijk te verteren.
