Nisha worked as a full time barrister for 20 years before giving up the security of the Bar to dedicate herself to her restaurants, her food writing and her curry evangelism. In 2018 Mowgli was awarded a placement in The Sunday Times Fast Track 100 list, and this year Nisha was recognised with an MBE in the 2019 New Year Honours list for services to the Food Industry.
