Russell Norman

Russell Norman (1965-2023) was oprichter van de Polpo-restaurants in Londen, waar de keuken van Venetië al bijna 15 jaar centraal staat. Het gelijknamige boek was Waterstones Book of the Year en Kookboek van het Jaar. Russels tweede boek, Spuntino, won de Guild of Food Writers Award. In 2021 opende Russell Trattoria Brutto dat sindsdien elke dag volgeboekt is en op de Bib Gourmand-lijst staat. Russel was ook presentator en schreef voor onder meer Esquire Magazine. Hij overleed in november 2023 na een kort ziekbed, vlak na de wereldwijde publicatie van Brutto.
